Disney's adaptation of Into the Woods earned three nominations, including Best Comedy or Musical, Best Actress (Emily Blunt) and Best Supporting Actress (Meryl Streep).

Although the role of the Witch has been placed in the Best Actress category in the past, Disney has been campaigning for a Best Actress nomination for Blunt as the Baker's Wife, with Anna Kendrick and Streep landing in the Supporting Category, for their respective work as Cinderella and the Witch.

Blunt, nominated for a Best Actress award, told Playbill magazine that she knew very little of Into the Woods before discovering them through the eyes of director Rob Marshall. She confided, "I was very, very nervous about going in to audition for it. I really don't like singing in front of people." Click here for the full interview

As for Streep, the Academy Award-winning actress thought "never in a million years" would she be asked to take on the Witch. Click here for more of her interview with Playbill magazine
