The GTG Golden Shamrock Award is given annually for "artistic contribution to society," according to press notes. Past honorees include Terrence McNally, Judith Ivey, Brian Murray and Robert Osborne.

Special guests honoring Jaffe and Busch include Kenneth Lonergan, Rebecca Luker, Joseph Thalken and Julie Halston. The co-chairs of the gala are Robert Osborne (TCM host) and philanthropist Richard Weinberg.

“All of us at GTG are thrilled at the opportunity to honor these two superb New Yorkers who have given their lives to making our planet a far better place,” said artistic director Staller in a previous statement. “Anita Jaffe has devoted herself to supporting many arts and humanitarian organizations. Charles Busch has gloriously redefined the role of a Renaissance man in our society, lovingly broadening our view of our own place in the world. Both of them have been inexplicably bound to GTG's Project Shaw since its inception in 2006.”

A traditional Irish/American dinner will be served of corned beef and cabbage, stews, pies, puddings, ales and toasts. Musicians will also be on hand.
