News Gold's Jewish Mother to Resurface at St. Luke's Theatre 25 Questions for a Jewish Mother, Judy Gold's solo evening which enjoyed an extended run at the Ars Nova last spring, will reopen at the St. Luke's Theatre in September.

The popular comedy/drama starring Emmy Award-winning actress-comedienne Gold will begin previews at its new home Sept. 27 with an official opening Oct. 12.

Karen Kohlhaas directs the 70-minute intermissionless play, which was co-written by Gold and Kate Moira Ryan.

25 Questions for a Jewish Mother, which was previously titled God Doesn't Pay Rent Here is, according to press notes, "Gold’s personal journey about becoming a parent, while learning to be a daughter to a nagging Jewish mother of her own."

The production was previously seen at the Montreal Just for Laughs Festival.

Actress-comedienne Judy Gold won two Emmy Awards for writing and producing "The Rosie O'Donnell Show." Nominated twice for the American Comedy Award, Gold is the host of HBO's "At the Multiplex with Judy Gold." Her screen credits also include "Comedy Central Presents: Judy Gold," "Tough Crowd Stands Up," "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" and "The Aristocrats." Gold's HBO half-hour special received a Cable Ace Award. The St. Luke's Theater is located at 308 West 46th Street. Show times are Tuesdays-Saturdays at 8 PM with matinees Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays at 3 PM. Tickets, priced at $65, are available by calling (212) 239-6200.
