After a seven-month run in 2003, Golf began previews Nov. 20, with original cast member Christopher Sutton in tow. Christopher Scott, who staged the original run, repeats his work for the return engagement.
The work is based on a concept by Eric Krebs. Ken Lundie is musical director.
The cast features Sutton (I Love You, You're Perfect…), as well as Lyn Philistine (Gypsy, Spamalot), Tom Gamblin (Starlight Express, Titanic) and Brian Runbeck (Sly Fox).
The musical revue, which celebrates the love of the American sport from pro-golf to amateur divot-makers, has enjoyed a healthy regional life since its New York debut seven years ago.
Golf has set design by James Joughin, costume design by Bernard Grenier and lighting design by Aaron Spivey.
Golf is presented Saturdays at 2 PM and Sundays at 3 and 7 PM. Tickets, priced $45, can be purchased by phoning (212) 352-3101 or by visiting GolftheMusical.
The Midtown Theatre is located at 163 West 46th Street.
