News Good Morning America Goes Behind the Scenes of Broadway’s Aladdin The cast sang from the Disney hit and also offered a backstage tour.

On December 13 the cast of Broadway’s Aladdin rose early to perform live on ABC’s Good Morning America.

James Monroe Iglehart, who won a Tony for his role as The Genie, and Adam Jacobs sang “Friend Like Me” alongside the musical's company.

ABC also took a backstage look with stars Iglehart, Jacobs, and Courtney Reed, who plays Princess Jasmine.

Reed guided viewers on a tour of backstage operations, and showed off some of the show’s detailed costumes and props.
