Classic Arts News 'Good Night, Alice!' - Lincoln Center Plans a Gala Sendoff for Alice Tully Hall Before Renovation The first major construction project of Lincoln Center long-discussed redevelopment plan gets underway this spring, as Alice Tully Hall closes down for an 18-month renovation.
Lincoln Center will be giving the old gal a grand sendoff: "Good Night, Alice", a special gala honoring the venue and the benefactor (at left) who made it possible, will be the final concert at Tully before it closes for construction. Former NBC Nightly News anchor Tom Brokaw will host; among the luminaries performing will be Audra McDonald, Wynton Marsalis, Laurie Anderson, Philip Glass, and conductor David Robertson (more special guests will be announced later), along with the Chamber Music Society and Film Society of Lincoln Center.

In addition, "Good Night, Alice" will be televised nationally on May 3 as a PBS special.

More information about this one-time-only gala performance is available at www.LincolnCenter.org.
