News Goodspeed's Something's Afoot Will Feature Liz Pearce, Benjamin Eakeley, Ed Dixon, Hunter Ryan Herdlicka and More The murder mystery spoof Something's Afoot will conclude Goodspeed Musicals' 2012 season. Performances will begin Oct. 5, prior to an official opening Oct. 24, at the Tony Award-winning Goodspeed Opera House in East Haddam, CT.

Directed by Casey Hushion (Elf associate director, In the Heights assistant director) with choreography by Vince Pesce (Anything Goes associate choreographer), the limited engagement will continue through Dec. 9.

The cast includes Liz Pearce (Billy Elliot) as Lettie, Khris Lewin (Goodspeed's My One And Only) as Flint, Ron Wisniski (Goodspeed's Me and My Girl) as Clive, Julia Osborne (Goodspeed's Half a Sixpence) as Hope Langdon, Peter Van Wagner ("Boardwalk Empire") as Dr. Grayburn, Benjamin Eakeley (On a Clear Day You Can See Forever) as Nigel Rancour, Drama Desk nominee Lynne Wintersteller (A Grand Night for Singing) as Lady Manley-Prowe, Ed Dixon (Anything Goes) as Colonel Gillweather, Audrie Neenan (Sister Act) as Miss Tweed and Hunter Ryan Herdlicka (A Little Night Music) as Geoffrey. Understudies are Madeleine Doherty, Alyssa Gagarin and Bronson Norris Murphy.

Something's Afoot features a book, music and lyrics by James McDonald, David Vos and Robert Gerlach with additional music by Ed Linderman.

Here's how Goodspeed describes the work: "An old English mansion. A raging thunderstorm. Ten strangers. Murder, mystery, music and comedy abound when the guests disappear one by one – knocked off by cleverly fiendish devices. Join the fun as Miss Tweed the amateur sleuth sets out to solve the crimes…but the butler didn't do it!"

Other members of the creative team include music director Michael O’Flaherty, scenic designer Adrian W. Jones, costume designer Tracy Christensen, lighting designer Jason Lyons, sound designer Jay Hilton, assistant music director William J. Thomas and orchestrator Dan DeLange. Goodspeed Musicals produces three musicals each season at the Goodspeed Opera House in East Haddam, CT, and additional productions at The Norma Terris Theatre in Chester, CT.
