The worldwide web-based one-man show, Dave Gorman’s Googlewhack! Adventure, currently plays Off-Broadway at The Village Theatre.

WestBeth Entertainment and Jam Theatricals producer the new work from the creator of Are You Dave Gorman? which began its New York run Oct. 26 and opened Nov. 4 for a run through Jan. 9, 2005.

In Are You Dave Gorman?, the namesake performer tracked down and met with other Dave Gormans and relayed his experiences. His latest premise-based memoir project has the obsessee tracking down and meeting with the authors of Googlewhack webpages. (For the technologically lost, a Googlewhack is the result of entering two words into Google's search engine and only connecting with one link.)

Gorman retells his adventures in finding these web anomalies from "playing table tennis with a 9-year-old in a Boston basement" to winding up "in L.A. with three snakes on your head." Examples of the one-time Googlewhacks included in the show's materials — unicyclist/periscopes, dork/turnspit or pomegranate/filibusters — ironically, no longer fit the category as many return a number of websites that mention this very show. Tickets to Dave Gorman’s Googlewhack! Adventure, at The Village Theatre, 158 Bleecker Street, (between Thompson and Sullivan St.) are available through the box office at (212) 253-0623.
