Founded back east in 1980, GNP has been in the political satire business with such highly praised revues as Man Without a Contra, Clintoons and A Newt World Order.

The Washington Post described GNP as "a brisk merger between Firesign Theatre and the original cast of `Saturday Night Live.`"
