News Gorilla Rep to Present Free Stagings of Peer Gynt and Julius Caesar Gorilla Rep will offer free stagings of Henrik Ibsen's Peer Gynt and William Shakespeare's Julius Caesar in August.

Peer Gynt, which features a new translation/adaptation by Laura Lynn MacDonald, will be directed by Christopher Carter Sanderson and will play Fridays and Sundays at 8 PM Aug. 6-29 at Summit Rock in Central Park (near 85th Street and Central Park West).

Roger Grunwald will portray Peer Gynt in a cast that also includes Neville Braithwaite, Ken Hailey, Caitlin Johnston, Sarah Mollo-Christensen, Gustavo Obregon, Heather Lee Rogers, Nalini Sharma, Josh Silverman and Frances You Sanderson.

The production also features original music by Andre-Philippe Mistier.

Stephen Fried will direct Julius Caesar, which will be presented Fridays and Saturdays at 8 PM Aug. 7-30 at the lawn below the New Leaf Café parking area in Ft. Tryon Park.

The cast will comprise Tim Scott, Greg Petroff, Bruce Barton, David Joseph Regelmann, Ross Degraw, Len Rella, Matthew Brown, John Reoli, Aren Chaisson, Brian Cade, Michael Weaver, Kila Packett, Collin McConnell, Zachary Koval,Matt Swanston, Matthew Garner, Ashley Samona Baker and Sarah Mollo-Christensen.
