John Gould Rubin, director of the various incarnations of The Erotica Project (most recently at the Public Theatre), will turn to sex again with the world premiere of David Deblinger's Stopless, running Jan. 5-29 at Center Stage, NY.

The story of two obsessive boys, one a slave to religious ecstasy, the other to sexual pleasure, Stopless takes the sons apart as their mother discovers their compulsive desires. In a break from traditional set and narrative form, the theatre will be converted into a television studio, where live projection, microphones and videography will set the scene. Deblinger, a co-founder of the LAByrinth in 1992, wrote Boom Boom, Boom Boom, Dreaming in Tongues and The Flattened Fifth. His films include "Kiss Me, Guido," "A Price Above Rubies" and "Fish in the Bathtub."

Starring in Stopless are David Deblinger, Tomoko Miyagi (Boom Boom, Boom Boom), Maggie Burke (Perapalas) and Justin Reinsilber.

Actor and recent movie darling Philip Seymour Hoffman ("The Talented Mr. Ripley," "Flawless," "Magnolia") co-produces with John Ortiz and Eric and Jill DeArmon. Hoffman directed last season's In Arabia We'd All Be Kings for LAByrinth.

Tickets are $12 (opening night benefit $40) and available by calling (212) 929-2228. Center Stage, NY is located at 48 West 21st Street. -- By Christine Ehren
