Directed by Rupert Goold, the production — a collaboration between Headlong Theatre (formerly the Oxford Stage Company) and the Almeida — will officially open April 3 and play a limited engagement through May 10. The cast will feature Shane Attwooll (Butch Honeywell), Amanda Boxer (Henrietta Iscariot), LAByrinth Theatre Company member Ron Cephas Jones (Pontius Pilate/Uncle Pino), Josh Cohen (Sigmund Freud/Saint Thomas), Dona Croll (Gloria/Mother Theresa), Gawn Grainger (Caiaphas The Elder/Saint Matthew), Douglas Henshall (Satan), Edward Hogg (Jesus of Nazareth), Corey Johnson (Judge/Soldier), Mark Lockyer (Yusef El-Fayoumy), Susan Lynch (Fabiana Aziza Cunningham), John MacMillan (Bailiff/Simon the Zealot), Joseph Mawle (Judas Iscariot), Poppy Miller (Loretta/Mary Magdalene/Sister Glenna) and Jessika Williams (Saint Monica).

The production will feature set and costume design by Anthony Ward, lighting design by Howard Harrison and sound design and music by Adam Cork.

The Last Days of Judas Iscariot, according to press notes, "is a time-bending, serio-comic drama in an imagined world between Heaven and Hell that re-examines the plight and fate of The New Testament’s most infamous sinner. Throughout the play figures ranging from Pontius Pilate to Sigmund Freud are called to testify in a trial of 'God and the Kingdom of Heaven and Earth versus Judas Iscariot.'"

The Last Days of Judas Iscariot received its world premiere at New York's Public Theater in 2005 in a production directed by Philip Seymour Hoffman.

The Almeida Theatre is located on Almeida Street in Islington, London. For tickets call 020 7359 4404 or visit www.almeida.co.uk.
