News Grammer and Scene Actress Heaton to Star in New Fox Show "Action News" Patricia Heaton — currently starring Off-Broadway in The Scene — will join Kelsey Grammer in the upcoming Fox television series "Action News."

The 20th Century Fox TV comedy from Steven Levitan ("Just Shoot Me!," "Greg the Bunny") and Christopher Lloyd ("Wings," "Out of Practice") was just picked up by the network for 13 episodes. A multicamera comedy, "Action News" is set at a local TV station where two former anchors (Grammer and Heaton) reunite. The work is being planned for the fall.

Heaton is widely recognized for her two-time Emmy-winning turn as wife Debra Barone on CBS' concluded series "Everybody Loves Raymond." The actress has also been seen in TNT's "The Engagement Ring" and ABC's "The Path to 9/11," and she co-starred with Jeff Daniels in a TNT remake of Neil Simon's "The Goodbye Girl." She began her career on the New York stage and made her Broadway debut in Don't Get God Started.

Emmy Award winner Grammer earned acclaim for his turn as the title psychiatrist in "Frasier." The actor who appeared on Broadway in the short-lived Macbeth also starred in NBC's TV version of Alan Menken and Lynn Ahrens' musical "A Christmas Carol." Seen on the big screen in "X-Men: The Last Stand," Grammer also produces the shows "Medium," "Girlfriends" and "The Game."
