Included will be new works by the adobe theatre's Jeremy Dobrish, playwright-actor David Greenspan, the Foundry Theater and the Salt Theater. This is 10th year for the developmental series, which is run by Ohio Theatre owner Robert Lyons. The Ohio Theatre a sought-after playing space among Downtown troupes.
Greenspan won an Obie Award for his recent Playwrights Horizons production of She Stoops to Comedy. Dobrish's Eight Days (Backwards) is currently at the Vineyard Theatre.
The schedule runs as follows:
July 9-12: Soho Think Tank presents Mother's Little Helper, written and performed by Lenora Champagne, directed by Robert Lyons.
July 16-19: Salt Theater presents Conquest of the Universe by Charles Ludlum, directed by Emma Griffin
July 23-26: Pig Iron Theatre of Philadelphia presents Flop, a new work by the company members
July 30-Aug. 2: The Foundry Theater presents The Myopia, written and performed by David Greenspan
Aug. 6-9: Sabooge Theater of Montreal presents Hatched, created by the company
Aug. 13-16: adobe theatre presents Deception, written and directed by Jeremy Dobrish.
