News Greenwald Gets Promotion at Broadway Ad Agency SpotCo Tom Greenwald has been promoted to executive creative director at SpotCo, Drew Hodges, president and founder of the entertainment-minded ad agency announced.

In Greenwald's current position of creative director/broadcast and copy, he is responsible for all copywriting, radio and broadcast materials. His new duties "will include an expanded creative role throughout the agency, as well as the lead creative contact for SpotCo's clients."

SpotCo represents almost half of the shows running on Broadway.

Hodges said in a statement, "Tom Greenwald has been with SpotCo from its inception in 1998, and has always shown a unique ability to be funny, calm, inventive, and innovative across the wide spectrum of our diverse projects. Clients count on him to be straightforward in a storm, and creative on a dime, and he always delivers. He is going to help us expand how to market not just Broadway, but all kinds of live entertainment in the coming years."

Prior to joining SpotCo, Greenwald was a creative director at Grey Entertainment. His past experience includes writing the book and the lyrics to the successful Off-Broadway musical John & Jen, with music by Andrew Lippa.

SpotCo's Broadway clients include In the Heights, Shrek the Musical, Billy Elliot, Neil LaBute's reasons to be pretty and many more. As previously reported, SpotCo recently joined forces with the British advertising agency Dewynters, "to create a global super shop that can reach rapidly expanding audiences."
