Matt August directs the world premiere co-presentation (previously seen with co presenter, the Roundabout Theatre Company, Off-Broadway) for its California run. The show opens Sept. 28 for a run through Oct. 29 at the company's Cassius Carter Centre Stage. The absurdist, darkly comic Pig Farm is set "On a struggling farm somewhere in America [where] Tom, Tina and their hired hand, Tim, fight to hold onto everything they have – namely, a herd of 15,000 restless pigs," according to a release. The trio's lives turn upside down when "an officer of the Environmental Protection Agency arrives to inspect the operation."

The SD cast of Pig Farm includes Ted K?ch as Tom, Colleen Quinlan as Tina, Ian White as Tim and Ken Land (Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas!) as Teddy.

The design team includes Takeshi Kata (scenic), Jenny Mannis (costume), Chris Rynne (lighting) and Paul Peterson (sound). Steve Rankin serves as fight director and Esther Emery is stage manager.

The pen behind Broadway's Urinetown - The Musical, Kotis is at work on two new musicals including Yeast Nation (the triumph of life) and The Man in the White Suit. Other plays include Eat the Taste, Jobey and Katherine, Baron Von Siebenburg Melts Through the Floorboards and Give the People What They Want.

Tickets for Pig Farm are available by calling Globe Ticket Services at (619) 23 GLOBE or at the Globe Box Office, 1363 Old Globe Way in San Diego's Balboa Park. For more information, visit www.theoldglobe.org.
