Happy memories are expected to bubble forth when cast members from George M!, which opened at the Palace Theatre, Apr. 10, 1968, holds a 30th anniversary reunion April 26. According to James Dybas, who played several roles in the production (including Louie, Congressman Burkhardt and a dog trainer), the get-together is private and not open to the press. Some big names are expected, though, such as Joel Grey and Bernadette Peters. who played brother and sister in the musical biography of George M. Cohan. George M! featured such other performers as Loni Ackerman, Karin Baker, Gene Castle, Jerry Dodge, Jill O'Hara and John Mineo. Joe Layton directed and choreographed this musical based on the life of the musical comedy star of the 1900s-1930s. The show had a book by Michael Stewart with John & Fran Pascal.

Says Dybas of his former colleagues, "Many of these talented entertainers, whose careers range from performers currently on Broadway to bank presidents, director/choreographers, investment brokers, dance teachers, executive secretaries, acting coaches and inner city youth counselors, will be reconnecting for the first time in 30 years."
