Center Stage
Dec. 11: Special guest is Patrick Page, who, as The Grinch in Broadway's Dr. Seuss's How the Grinch Stole Christmas! – The Musical found himself at the epicenter of the 19-days strike when his was the first show to be picketed…and the first show to return after a State Supreme Court judge ordered the show's reopening. Playbill Radio takes its microphone into darkest Whoville to learn how that all played out from backstage at the St. James Theatre, and how Page brings his Shakespearean training to the role of the Christmas-hating creature whose heart is two sizes too small.

Each week's new "Center Stage" show debuts at 7 PM ET Tuesday, with repeats scheduled for (all times ET) 2 AM Wednesday, Dec. 12; 11 PM Wednesday, Dec. 12; 2 PM Thursday, Dec. 13; 11 AM Saturday, Dec. 15; and 4 PM Sunday, Dec. 16.

Dec. 12: It took a lot of guts to ask Stephen Sondheim for rewrites on his masterwork Sweeney Todd on the way to adapting the Tony-winning Broadway musical as a movie starring Johnny Depp and directed by Tim Burton. Producer Richard D. Zanuck and Oscar-nominated screenwriter John Logan tell Playbill Radio how they did it, avoiding the many pitfalls along the way.
