News Groener Joins Cast of L.A.T.W. Staging of The Physicists Tony nominee Harry Groener (Crazy for You) has replaced Hector Elizondo in the Los Angeles Theatre Works production of Friedrich Durrenmatt's The Physicists, which begins performances July 8.

Earlier this week it was announced that Bruce Davison ("Longtime Companion," "Runaway Jury") had replaced Oscar winner Richard Dreyfuss in the cast of Physicists, which runs through July 12 at the Skirball Center.

Brendon Fox directs the limited run that will also feature John de Lancie, Gregory Itzin, Amy Pietz, Roma Maffia, Melinda Page Hamilton, Matthew Patrick Davis, Matt Gaydos and Christopher Guilmet.

Press notes for the work read: "The world's greatest physicist, Johann Wilhelm Mobius, is in a madhouse, haunted by recurring visions of King Solomon. He is kept company by two other equally deluded scientists: one who thinks he is Einstein, another who believes he is Newton. It soon becomes evident, however, that these three are not as harmlessly lunatic as they appear. Are they, in fact, really mad? Or are they playing some murderous game, with the world as the stake?"

As with all LATW productions, The Physicists will be recorded and broadcast on L.A.T.W.'s nationally syndicated radio theatre series, "The Play's the Thing."

For tickets, priced $20-$48, to any of "The Play's the Thing" productions at the Skirball Cultural Center, 2701 N. Sepulveda Boulevard, call the L.A. Theatre Works box office at (310) 827-0889. For more information visit latw.org.
