With just a few performances under its Bob Mackie-designed belt, The Cher Show has audiences believing all over again. The musical, which began November 1 at the Neil Simon Theatre, played to 97.03 percent capacity and grossed $495,489—88.61 percent of its potential—in three preview performances.

The average ticket price for the musical’s early performances hovered around $120. That’s $40 per Cher, as Stephanie J. Block, Teal Wicks, and Micaela Diamond portray the pop icon at different stages of her career.

Expect the musical to reach seven figures in a full week of performances before opening officially December 3.

Meanwhile, two other recent arrivals, Aaron Sorkin's To Kill a Mockingbird and the critically acclaimed The Ferryman, climbed the boards as they approached the $1 million milestone. Sorkin's stage adaptation of the Harper Lee novel reached standing room only status while grossing over $520,000 in three performances; the latter, from Jez Butterworth, grossed $919,930 in the week ending November 4—up over $17,000 from the week prior.
