News Guests Named for First NYC Broadcast of "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" Guests have been named for the Feb. 17 premiere of “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,” which will be taped live before a studio audience in Studio 6B in Rockefeller Center.

Joining host Fallon will be Will Smith and U2. Smith, who has twice been nominated for an Oscar (“Ali,” “The Pursuit of Happyness”), is also an established recording artist who has won four Grammy Awards. He will next star in Warner Bros.’ “Focus.”

Rock band U2 — featuring lead singer Bono, guitarist The Edge, bassist Adam Clayton and drummer Larry Mullen, Jr. — is set to release its newest album in 2014. The 22-time Grammy Award-winning band, whose last album was 2009’s “No Line on the Horizon,” was just nominated for an Academy Award and recently won its second Golden Globe Award for best original song for “Ordinary Love,” from the film “Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom.” Bono and The Edge were also co-creators of Spider-Man Turn Off the Dark.
