Excerpts from the new musical will be performed by four-time Tony Award winner Boyd Gaines, three-time Tony Award nominee Rebecca Luker, New York City Ballet Principal Dancer Tiler Peck and singer/actor Kyle Harris.

William Ivey Long moderates the discussion with director and choreographer Susan Stroman, Lynn Ahrens (book and lyrics) and Stephen Flaherty (music).

Inspired by the obscure ballerina who posed for the Edgar Degas sculpture Little Dancer Aged Fourteen (1878-81), this new musical, according to press notes, "follows the young dancer Marie van Goethem as she struggles in the Paris Opera Ballet and inadvertently becomes the world's most recognized dancer."

Performances begin at the Kennedy Center Oct. 25.

The live stream will be available by clicking here.
