News   "Guiding Light" Star Will Commit Perfect Crime Off-Broadway
Emmy nominee Robert Newman, longtime star of "Guiding Light," and more recently of the hit Showtime series "Homeland," will play Inspector Archer in Off-Broadway’s longest running play,Perfect Crime, starting July 28.

Newman is no stranger to the screen and has several wide-ranging credits to his name – from Curtains at Paper Mill to She's Of A Certain Age at the Beckett to the upcoming film "The Amazing Spider-Man 2."

Perfect Crime is directed by Jeffrey Hyatt and is billed, according to press notes as, "the Off-Broadway ‘whodunit’ that New York Magazine calls 'a true New York murder mystery' and the New York Times calls 'a crackling thriller' [that] recently celebrated a record breaking 11,000 performances – continuing its record as the longest running play in NYC history."

Along with Newman, Catherine Russell continues in her original starring role and the rest of the current cast includes Jack Koenig (The Lion King), George McDaniel ("All My Children") and Patrick Robustelli.

All performances take place at the Snapple Theater Center, located at 210 W. 50th Street.
