Zimmer has won acclaim for her role in Guiding Light. She has been nominated for six Daytime Emmy Awards, and has won thrice. This year, she was voted Outstanding Lead Actress by Soap Opera Digest magazine.

She will portray Elvira, the pesky spirit from the great beyond. When her husband, Charles, tries to conduct a seance to refresh his memory, he actually contacts his first wife. This makes his second wife, Ruth, rather uncomfortable. The show also stars Reva Shayne.

The play first opened on Broadway in 1964, and played for almost a year with Beatrice Lilly and Tammy Grimes. Its songs include "Something is Coming to Tea," "Forever and a Day," "I Know Your Heart," and "Home Sweet Heaven." It follows the same plot as the original Noel Coward play Blithe Spirit.

TheatreFest is located at Montclair State University, 1 Normal Ave, Upper Montclair, NJ. For ticket prices and information, call the box office at (973) 655-5112 or call Telecharge at (212) 239-6200. -- Daniel Fischer
