News Gulfshore Playhouse's 2010 Season to Begin with Honour; Casting Announced Australian playwright Joanna Murray-Smith's Honour will open the 2010 season at the Gulfshore Playhouse in Naples, FL. Performances begin Jan. 20.

Kristen Coury, producing artistic director at Gulfshore Playhouse, directs a cast that features Allen Fitzpatrick (Broadway's Les Misérables, Sweet Smell of Success, Damn Yankees, Passion, The Scarlet Pimpernel, 42nd Street) as Gus and Broadway, Off-Broadway and television actress Elizabeth Hess (M. Butterfly, Beggars in the House of Plenty and television’s "Law and Order" and "Clarissa Explains it All") as Honor, the central character. Jessica Rothert and Heidi-Marie Ferren round out the cast. Originally developed as a part of the playwriting program at Columbia University, Honour, according to press notes, "examines what happens when a comfortable, upper middle-class, middle-aged marriage suddenly stalls. Honour challenges the notion of honor, our sense of decency and the belief that love will prevail." The play first premiered on Broadway in 1998 and has since been produced twice on London's West End.

The production team for Honour also includes set designer Robert F. Wolin, lighting designer Lisa Soverino and costume designer Jennifer Murray.

Honour opens Jan. 22 at the Norris Center, 755 8th Avenue South in Downtown Naples, FL, and plays through Jan. 30. To purchase tickets, call (866) 811-4111 or visit www.gulfshoreplayhouse.org.
