A cast of six portrays over 50 characters in the Gurney work, which stars original 1982 Off-Broadway cast member Ann McDonough. Joining McDonough for the Keen Company mounting are Dan Daily, Claire Lautie, Timothy McCracken, Samantha Soule and Mark J. Sullivan.
Jonathan Silverstein directs the production of Dining Room, which, according to press notes, "[dissects] birthday parties, holidays, breakfasts, affairs, and every imaginable form of American familial relations [in a series of scenes]. Spanning the century and a single day at the same time, The Dining Room is a humorous and moving evocation of family life, past and present."
Ann McDonough's credits include the Broadway productions of Dinner at Eight, Abe Lincoln in Illinois and Mastergate as well as Off-Broadway's Room Service, Sister Mary Ignatius Explains It All For You, Uncommon Women and Others and A.R. Gurney's What I Did Last Summer.

The Keen Company's season continues with David Hay's The Maddening Truth, exploring Ernest Hemingway's third wife, the renowned war journalist Martha Gellhorn; previews begin Jan. 15, 2008.
