News Guthrie and Acting Company's Romeo and Juliet to Play NYC's Baruch Performing Arts Center The Guthrie Theater and The Acting Company's second co-production, William Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet, will begin previews Feb. 19 at the Baruch Performing Arts Center in Manhattan.

Directed by Penny Metropulos, the classic will play the East Side venue through Feb. 28. Tony Award winner Arthur Laurents will take part in a post-show discussion following the 7 PM performance on Feb. 23. The cast comprises Jesse Bonnell, Raymond L. Chapman, Laura Esposito, Hugh Kennedy, Jason McDowell-Green, Jamie Smithson, Elizabeth Stahlmann, William Sturdivant, Chris Thorn, Myxolydia Tyler, Sonny Valicenti, Christine Weber and Isaac Woofter.

Romeo and Juliet, according to press notes, is the "iconic romantic tragedy of innocent young lovers falling victim to family hatred and cruel destiny."

The Baruch Performing Arts Center is located at East 25th Street between Lexington and Third Avenues. Tickets are $49.50 and are available by calling (866) 811-4111 or by visiting www.theactingcompany.org.
