The Guthrie Theatre production of George Bernard Shaw's comic farce, Misalliance, begins previews Jan. 14 in Minneapolis. Misalliance opens officially Jan. 19 and runs through Feb 13.
Guest director for the production is Shaw advocate, Neil Munro, the award-winning resident director of Canada's Shaw Festival. This abstract double shot -- director and playwright -- of the Shaw influence will no doubt inform the "riotous kaleidoscope of comedy," which Shaw described as "one of my masterpieces."
The cast for the production includes Barbara Bryne, Edwin C. Owens, Scott Ferrara, Heather Robison, as well as newcomers Adam Stein, Dennis Creaghan, Bill McCallium, Casy Stewart-Lindley and Jim Lichtscheidl.
The creative/production team also includes set and costume designer Peter Hartwell, lighting designer Matt Reinert, sound designer Scott Edwards, voice and dialect supervision by Gillian Lane-Plescia, fight consultant Michael J, Anderson and dramaturg Jason Brown.
Tickets range from $16 - $39. For more information call (612) 377 2224. -- By Murdoch McBride
