Guthrie Theatre’s planned production of William Shakespeare's comic masterpiece, Twelfth Night, will begin its run on Jan. 12. There will be 28 performances of the play, which must close Feb. 4. This production will be a virtual copy of Guthrie’s summer production, with the exception of two minor cast changes.

Stars Charles Keating (Malvolio) and Barbara Bryne (Feste) return to Twelfth Night which has been transported by Guthrie artistic director Joe Dowling to take place in "Hollywood in the closing days of the Roaring '20s."

The updated cast comprises Opal Alladin (Viola), Robert O. Berdahl (officer), Danyon Davis (Fabian), Mathew Detmer (attendant), Sean Michael Dooley (Valentine), Nathaniel Fuller (priest), Shawn Hamilton (as both sea captain/Antonio), Peter Hermann (Orsino), Richard S. Iglewski (Sir Andrew Aguecheek), Michael McCarty (Sir Toby Belch), Cheyenne Casebier (Olivia), Marcus Quiniones (Curio), Daniel Sunjata (Sebastian) and Sally Wingert (Maria).

The production team comprises scenic designer Richard Hoover, costume designer Karyl Newman, lighting designer John Gisondi, choreographer/movement coach Marcela Lorca, sound designer Scott Edward, music director Anita Ruth, vocal coach Shane Ann Younts and dramaturg Michael Lupu.
