News Guthrie Theater's Other Desert Cities Begins Limited Run Feb. 9; Peter Rothstein Directs The Guthrie Theater's production of Jon Robin Baitz's Tony-nominated dysfunctional family drama Other Desert Cities begins previews Feb. 9 on the McGuire Proscenium Stage.

Directed by Peter Rothstein, the production will officially open Feb. 15. Performances continue through March 24.

The cast features Sally Wingert as Polly Wyeth, Michelle Barber as Silda Grauman and David Anthony Brinkley as Lyman Wyeth with Christian Conn and Kelly McAndrew as, respectively, brother and sister Brooke and Trip Wyeth.

Winner of the 2012 Drama League Award for Best Play, Other Desert Cities, according to the Guthrie, centers on "the arrival home for the holidays of Brooke Wyeth to visit her parents, brother and aunt. When she announces that she’s about to publish a memoir, a hidden event in the family’s history is brought to the surface amid conflict and unresolved feelings, leading to an ending that has left audiences stunned and talking everywhere the play has appeared."

The artistic team includes James Youmans (set designer), Rich Hamson (costume designer), Paul Whitaker (lighting designer), Scott W. Edwards (sound designer), Jo Holcomb (dramaturg), Lucinda Holshue (voice and dialect coach), Chris A. Code (stage manager), Michele Harms (assistant stage manager) and Joseph Stodola (assistant director).
