According to the Human Race, "Ordinary Days is the story of four young New Yorkers whose lives intertwine, either purposely or unwittingly, in extraordinary ways."

Gwon has also written the musicals Bernice Bobs Her Hair, Ethan Frome and The Boy Detective Fails. He is the winner of the 2008 Fred Ebb Award for Excellence in Musical Theater Songwriting.
