News Gwyneth Paltrow and Katie Couric to Guest on "Glee" Spring Season Premiere Academy Award winner Gwyneth Paltrow and CBS News anchor Katie Couric will both make appearances on the Feb. 6, 2011, episode of "Glee," the show's star, Jane Lynch, told the Associated Press.

Lynch also said the episode would feature the "Glee" kids putting their stamp on Michael Jackson's "Thriller." Couric's appearance on the episode, which will launch the spring season of the hit Fox series and will air following the Super Bowl, had previously been reported. Paltrow's return as substitute teacher Holly Holliday, whom she previously played in a November episode, had been confirmed, but no date for Paltrow's encore appearance had been announced.

“It’s got so much firepower. There is so much going on in the show that is crazy and funny and wild," Emmy winner Lynch said of the episode. "I have a hissy fit the likes of which no one has seen before, where I try to destroy the locker room and principal’s office. I try to shoot one of my cheerleaders from a cannon.’’

"Glee" will air Wednesdays at 9 PM ET on Fox beginning with the Feb. 6 episode.
