News Gypsy and Jersey Boys to Offer Special Actors Fund Performances The Broadway productions of Gypsy and Jersey Boys will offer special performances to benefit the Actors Fund of America.

The Aug. 24 performance of Jersey Boys (at 8 PM) and the Sept. 13, 14 and 20 performances of Gypsy (Sept. 13 at 8 PM, Sept. 14 at 3 PM and Sept. 20 at 8 PM) will all benefit the non-profit organization. Tickets are available by calling (212) 221-7300, ext. 133. The acclaimed revival of Gypsy — starring Tony winners Patti LuPone, Boyd Gaines and Laura Benanti — plays the St. James Theatre, 246 West 44th Street. Jersey Boys, a Tony winner for Best Musical, plays the August Wilson Theatre, 245 West 52nd Street.

The Actors Fund, which was founded in 1882, is a non-profit organization that provides for the social welfare of all entertainment professionals. Some of the many programs The Actors Fund provides include a nursing home and assisted living care facility; senior and disabled programs; mental health services; chemical dependency services; entertainment industry assistance programs; the Phyllis Newman Women's Health Initiative; the AIDS Initiative; and supportive housing on both coasts.
