The lineup has been announced for the 2019 return of Broadway in the Boros, featuring free performances from Broadway musicals—including several currently Tony-nominated—in neighborhoods across New York City this summer. All concerts take place at noon.
Hadestown and Mean Girls will kick off the series at Restoration Plaza in Bedford Stuyvesant, Brooklyn, on June 14. Following will be The Prom and Be More Chill on June 28 in Jackson Heights, Queens. Beautiful and Wicked will perform July 12 at Co-op City in the Bronx, and Beetlejuice and Chicago heads to Empire Outlets in St. George Ferry Station, Staten Island, July 26.
The concerts, hosted by SiriusXM's Julie James, will also feature trivia games and giveaways.
Broadway in the Boros is a program of the Mayor’s Office of Media and Entertainment.
