The 9:30 PM concert features a collection of original music from Sengbloh and the band Kojo Modibo Sun, which comprises Scott Patterson, Damian Moore, Toby Wine and David Alston.
Sengbloh, who cites her musical influences as Sade, Mariah Carey, Frank Sinatra, Prince, and Vanity 6, has also released the EP "Southern Pin-Up!"
Sengbloh recently concluded a run in the Tony-winning revival of Hair and will return to Broadway in Tony winner Bill T. Jones' Fela!, which is set to begin previews at the Eugene O'Neill Theatre Oct. 19. She has also appeared in the Broadway productions of Aida, Wicked and The Color Purple. Her film credits include "American Gangster" and "Across the Universe."
