After airing a behind-the-scenes Hairspray special Aug. 15, NBC's Today will host the new hit musical comedy on the Plaza for a live performance Sept. 13. The morning show, hosted by Katie Couric and Matt Lauer, will also interview "The Sopranos" star Edie Falco, currently appearing in Frankie and Johnny in the Clare de Lune.
Other noteworthy future appearances on "Today" include Sally Field discussing her Broadway debut in The Goat on Sept. 17 show.
