News Hairspray, The Lion King, Wicked, Mamma Mia! to Celebrate Inside Broadway's 25th Year Cast members from Hairspray, The Lion King, Wicked, Mamma Mia!, Tarzan and the upcoming Inside Broadway production of Cinderella will celebrate the latter company's 25th anniversary with a free event Nov. 2.

Broadway producer Gerald Schoenfeld, Manhattan borough president Scott Stringer and other guests will appear at the special event, which will begin at 10:15 AM at Broadway's Winter Garden Theatre.

The aforementioned shows will perform as will cast members from the company's upcoming run of Rodgers & Hammerstein's Cinderella, which will tour schools starting in November and culminate in public performances at the Florence Gould Hall Feb. 3-10, 2007.

The not-for-profit educational organization brings Broadway to young audiences through a student ticket program, Broadway show study guides, educational videos about the behind-the-scenes operations at a Broadway theatre and 50-minute versions of classic Broadway musicals.

The 80-minute presentation "will be essentially for school children, honoring Inside Broadway's many years of presenting educational theatre in the schools," according to an announcement. "However, there will be limited general public seating, beginning at 9:45 AM, first come first served, with no advance reservations."
