News Hairspray's Bass to Host "Broadway on Broadway" Concert Former *NSYNC star Lance Bass, who is currently making his Broadway debut as Corny Collins in the Tony-winning musical Hairspray, will host the annual "Broadway on Broadway" concert in Times Square.

As previously announced, the free outdoor concert is scheduled for Sept. 16. The concert will feature stars and performances from current and upcoming productions, including Avenue Q, Chicago, A Chorus Line, The Color Purple, Curtains, The Drowsy Chaperone, Grease, Hairspray, Jersey Boys, Legally Blonde: The Musical, Les Misérables, The Lion King, Mamma Mia!, Mary Poppins, Monty Python’s Spamalot, The Phantom of the Opera, Rent, Spring Awakening, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee and Wicked. "It is an honor to be hosting this year's 'Broadway on Broadway,'” Bass said in a statement. "I love this great city, its people, and the Broadway fans – from New York, and around the world. I am both proud and excited to be part of this great event."

Presented by The League of American Theatres and Producers and the Times Square Alliance, the annual event will begin at 11:30 AM. Over 50,000 fans are expected to enjoy the concert that includes performances and/or appearances from stars of Broadway's musicals and plays.

This year's concert also features the announcement of the winner of Broadway's Biggest Fan Competition. Theatre lovers are invited to submit a one-minute video showing why they consider themselves Broadway's biggest fans. Visit www.BroadwaysBiggestFan.com for details.

The Broadway Fan Zone will also make its debut at the Sept. 16 concert. The first 100 fans who arrive dressed as their favorite Broadway character will be able to enjoy the concert from a special VIP area located near the stage.

IMG Media, which packages and produces sports and live event television, is producing "Broadway on Broadway" for the first time.
