News Hal Linden Opens BCBC's 1998-99 Season with B'way and Pop Songs Oct. 11 Tony and Emmy award winner Hal Linden, currently in Visiting Mr. Green Off-Broadway, will perform a selection of Broadway showstoppers and popular songs with his 10-piece band at the Brooklyn Center for the Performing Arts Oct. 11 at 2PM.

Tony and Emmy award winner Hal Linden, currently in Visiting Mr. Green Off-Broadway, will perform a selection of Broadway showstoppers and popular songs with his 10-piece band at the Brooklyn Center for the Performing Arts Oct. 11 at 2PM. Primarily known for his title role on the sitcom "Barney Miller," Linden is an accomplished actor whose recent New York stage appearances have included Scrooge in Madison Square Garden's musical A Christmas Carol and The Sisters Rosensweig. Linden, who entered show business as a clarinetist with the United States Army Band, recently completed a 19 week concert tour which included both singing and clarinet playing.

Tickets are $37-$28 and can be ordered by calling BCBC at (718) 951-4500 or by calling TicketMaster at (212) 307-7171. The Brooklyn Center for the Performing Arts is located on the campus of Brooklyn College, one block from the junction of Flatbush and Nostrand Avenues.
