Ted Dykstra will direct the limited engagement that will play Toronto's Winter Garden Theatre May 8-30. Tuesdays with Morrie, which officially opens May 12, is presented by the Harold Green Jewish Theatre Company. Linden, who has appeared on Broadway in The Rothschilds (Tony Award), Cabaret, I'm Not Rappaport and Bells Are Ringing, will star in the title role opposite Canadian stage veteran Rick Roberts. Linden was originally announced to star in the national tour of Tuesdays with Morrie in 2005, but bowed out of the production.

Tuesdays with Morrie recounts the relationship between sportswriter Mitch Albom and his former college professor Morrie Schwartz, who suffered from ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease). Playwright Hatcher adapted the best-selling 1997 memoir along with Albom for the stage production.

Designing the production are Philip Silver (set and costumes), Bonnie Beecher (lighting) and Creighton Doane (soundscape).

For tickets, priced $52-$92, phone (416) 872-5555 or visit Ticketmaster.ca. The Winter Garden Theatre is located at 189 Yonge Street in Toronto.
