News Halbach and Rakel End The Affair in 22B Nov. 2 The extended Off-Broadway engagement of Jay Christopher's The Affair in 22B concludes its run at the Producers Club Nov. 2.

The intimate play marked the Off-Broadway debut of the New Jersey-based theatre company 3S Theatre Collective. The Affair in 22B began performances Off-Broadway Oct. 16 and was originally scheduled to run through Oct. 25. An additional week of performances was added to the run.

John Halbach and Renee Rakel star in the two-hander, which according to production notes, "revolves around the relationship of the two main characters, Abbey and Paul, who share their lives in a run-down New York apartment, and who are looking to build a successful and meaningful relationship, though Paul's eagerness towards conflict and negativity plays an integral role in the downfall of the couple's companionship."

The creative team includes Stephen K. Dobay (set design) and Ryan Metzler (lighting design).

STC previously presented the Andrew Lippa concert Welcome to the World and the recent New Jersey production of Hedwig and the Angry Inch with MAC winner Jonathan Whitton.
