News Halston and Busch Head to the Chatterbox March 24 Julie Halston and Charles Busch, who will present a one-night-only benefit performance of Busch's Vampire Lesbians of Sodom next week, will sit down for a chat with host Seth Rudetsky at the March 24 edition of Seth's Broadway Chatterbox.

The weekly live talkfest, which includes interviews and performances from Broadway stars, is held at 6 PM at the New York cabaret Don't Tell Mama. There is a $10 donation and a two-drink minimum. The donation goes directly to Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, the nation's leading industry-based, not-for-profit AIDS fundraising and grant-making organization.

Julie Halston's New York theatrical credits include roles in Hairspray, White Chocolate, Gypsy, The Butter and Egg Man, The Vagina Monologues and Red Scare on Sunset. She received a Drama Desk nomination for her work in Red Scare. Also a stand-up comedian, Halston played Bitsy Von Muffling in HBO-TV's "Sex and the City."

Charles Busch is both a celebrated playwright and performer. His play The Tale of the Allergist's Wife, which began life at the Manhattan Theatre Club, later transferred to Broadway and was nominated for a Tony Award for Best Play. He wrote the book for the Broadway mounting of Taboo, and he also penned the screenplays for and starred in the films "Die, Mommie, Die" and "Psycho Beach Party." Busch's Vampire Lesbians of Sodom will be presented March 28 at the Music Box Theatre. The one-night-only event will benefit The Actors' Fund of America; call (212) 221-7300 ext. 133 for tickets.

Creator and host of Seth's Broadway Chatterbox, Seth Rudetsky has served as a pit pianist and/or conductor for such Broadway shows as 42nd Street, The Full Monty, The Phantom of the Opera, Mamma Mia! and The Producers. He also conceived the idea for the recent all-star Hair concert to benefit the Actors' Fund of America as well as the three previous benefit concerts, Chess, Funny Girl and Dreamgirls. Rudetsky was a member of the comedy writing team for "The Rosie O'Donnell Show" for two years, and his awards include the Duplex's Stars of Tomorrow, the Backstage Bistro and the Funniest Gay Male in New York. He was also the author and star of the recent one man, GLAAD nominated show Rhapsody in Seth.
