News Halston Set for Pic-Up: A Summer Romance at HOWL! Festival Broadway's Julie Halston and drag performer Sweetie will reprise their performances in Stephen Pell's Pic-Up: A Summer Romance for the HOWL! Festival.

After a one-night-only performance of the work July 9, Halston (Gypsy, Chasing Manet) and Sweetie (Wig Out!) will rejoin TWEED favorites Jay Rogers, Bradford Scobie, Steve Hayes, Greg Wallach and Bree Benton for the engagement that runs Sept. 18-20 at 45 Bleecker. Directed by Kevin Malony, Pic-Up promises a "satirical take on 1950's romance and Labor Day picnics." Robbie Kearns and TWEED TheaterWorks produce.

A veteran of the comedies of Charles Busch, Halston has appeared in Shanghai Moon, Lady in Question, Times Square Angel, Red Scare on Sunset, Psycho Beach Party, The Vagina Monologues and White Chocolate. She also guest starred on "Sexy and the City" and was seen in The Women and the Bernadette Peters revival of Gypsy.
