As Hamilton continues its three sit-down engagements and two national tours—and another on the horizon—the musical juggernaut seeks talent in Puerto Rico.

The casting company Telsey + Co. will hold auditions on the island June 13 at the University of Puerto Rico’s main campus in the Río Piedras section of San Juan. As previously announced, Lin-Manuel Miranda’s Tony- and Pulitzer-winning musical will play the University of Puerto Rico’s Teatro UPR in San Juan January 8–27, 2019, with Miranda reprising his performance in the title role.

Equity and non-Equity performers of all ethnicities are encouraged to submit headshots and résumés to [email protected]. Submission do not guarantee appointments. Tapes are also accepted; for details, visit HamiltonBroadway.com/Auditions.

Miranda and producer Jeffrey Seller announced the San Juan engagement in November, hoping the production will help bolster cultural and economic growth on the island following the devastation left by Hurricane Maria in September 2017.

Following Miranda’s three-week stint in Puerto Rico, the staging will continue to tour, becoming the third traveling production of the blockbuster (the first national tour opened in March 2017, with a second launching in February). In addition to the Broadway engagement, the show also currently plays Chicago and London.
