News Hamlet, With "Sherlock" Star Benedict Cumberbatch, Will Sell Low-Priced Tickets for Every Performance Hamlet, featuring stage and screen star Benedict Cumberbatch in the title role, has announced the sale of low-priced tickets for each of its performances, according to the production's website.

Shakespeare's tragedy, which will play London's Barbican theatre, will sell 100 seats per performance priced at £10.

Hamlet is directed by Lyndsey Turner. Performances will begin Aug. 6, 2015, and continue through Oct. 31.

The majority of tickets will be priced between £30 and £62.50, before booking fees, with a limited number of premium seats also available.

An Olivier Award winner, Cumberbatch's stage credits include the National Theatre's 2011 production of Frankenstein and 50 Years on Stage. He will co-star with Judi Dench in Richard III.

Cumberbatch stars in the TV show "Sherlock," and his film credits include "August: Osage County," "The Fifth Estate" and "12 Years a Slave." Complete casting for the production will be announced at a later date.

Tickets to Hamlet are available for purchase to 'red' members Aug. 1 and 'orange' members Aug. 4. General release is Aug. 11.
