The 1997 picture directed by S.R. Bindler "captures several days of lunacy, laughter, struggle, stamina and heartbreak experienced throughout an endurance competition between 24 small-town Texans for a brand new 'Hardbody' pickup truck," according to the distributor. "The 1995 competition lasted for 77 continuous hours and offers a remarkable study of competition, camaraderie, faith and determination — the ultimate human drama."

The film will also appear in a multi-city screening tour starting on March 20 at IFC Center (323 Sixth Avenue in Greenwich Village).

The documentary, previously unavailable for more than 10 years, has been digitally restored and re-mastered from the original Hi8 tapes. The film has been "restored, recolored and rebuilt shot-by-shot from the original footage by the film's producers." The new DVD includes "the fully restored film, never-before-see material (master interviews) from the original film, and all new design and artwork by Dustin Stanton and J.W.Nickles."
