Opening the season will be Ken Ludwig's Tony-nominated farce Lend Me a Tenor, about a frantic opera manager, a missing star and an eager assistant, running June 21-July 7, 2012. The Hangar also promises a "strikingly innovative" concept for a staging of Yeston and Peter Stone's sweeping musical Titanic, which will run July 12-28, 2012. Following will be Mark Hampton and Mary Louise Wilson's Full Gallop, which takes audiences into the life of Vogue and Harper's Bazaar editor Diana Vreeland, running Aug. 2-11, 2012. The area premiere of Tom Kitt and Brian Yorkey's Next to Normal, a musical about a family struggling to hold its center, will run Aug. 16-Sept. 1, 2012.
The season will close with The Trip to Bountiful, late playwright Horton Foote's memory play about an elderly widow on a journey to see her home one last time, running Sept. 13-22, 2012.
