The new season — which includes a current Broadway hit, a world-premiere new work, a classic American musical, an August Wilson Pulitzer Prize winner and a quirky family musical comedy — will play the fully renovated theatre in summer 2010.

"It's an exciting time at the Hangar, renovating this beloved building to make it as vital and attractive as the talent and variety we present each summer," said artistic director Flynn in a statement.

The season will include Alfred Hitchock's The 39 Steps, adapted by Patrick Barlow; the classic Mitch Leigh, Joe Darion, and Dale Wasserman musical Man of La Mancha; Kenny Finkle's new play Penelope of Ithaca, which combines the "Greek myth of Penelope awaiting the return of her husband Odysseus with modern tales of life in Ithaca"; August Wilson's Pulitzer Prize-winning The Piano Lesson; and the Rachel Sheinkin-William Finn musical comedy, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee.

Production dates are to be announced.

Mainstage season subscriptions are now on sale and start at $70. For more information call (607) 273-8588 or visit www.hangartheatre.org.
