News Hannah Elless Is Godspell's Newest Believer Hannah Elless recently succeeded Lindsay Mendez in the current revival of Stephen Schwartz's Godspell.

Elless began performances May 22; Mendez departed the production to be part of Dogfight, the new musical getting its world premiere at Off-Broadway's Second Stage Theatre (previews begin June 27).

Elless, who was previously an understudy in Godspell, is making her Broadway debut in this production. She was seen in the national tour of Mamma Mia! and has also appeared in productions of Baby, Beauty and the Beast, The Great American Trailer Park Musical and Hamlet.

Directed by Daniel Goldstein and choreographed by Tony Award nominee Christopher Gattelli, Godspell stars Corbin Bleu as Jesus and Wallace Smith as Judas, and co-stars Uzo Aduba, Nick Blaemire, Celisse Henderson, Morgan James, Telly Leung, George Salazar and Anna Maria Perez de Tagle.
