News Happy Fella's Winant to Join Phantom Tour Bruce Winant, the Broadway actor who is currently playing Pasquale in New York City Opera's production of The Most Happy Fella, will soon join the national tour of The Phantom of the Opera.

Winant told Playbill.com that he has been cast as put-upon Paris Opera House manager Monsieur Firmin in the tour of the Andrew Lloyd Webber musical. Winant will begin rehearsals for his new role March 25 and is expected to join the touring company April 14 at the Music Hall in Dallas. Bruce Winant has been seen on Broadway in Fiddler on the Roof, Miss Saigon and My Favorite Year as well as in the tours of Chicago and Les Misérables. Off-Broadway he was part of the cast of Jolson & Co., and his screen credits include "Friends and Family," "Ice Age," "Mighty Aphrodite," "Law & Order," "The West Wing," "Carnivale" and "Crossing Jordan."
